GPS Based Geofence Attendance

GPS Based Geofence allows you to restrict employee attendance to your office location only. Once enabled, employees can only mark their attendance when they are physically present within the set radius of your office. You can also configure the radius as per your office premises size.

How to Enable GPS Based Geofence Attendance (Web Portal) #

Setting GPS Attendance Mode for an Employee #

1. Log in as Admin on web.salarybox.in and click on “My Team” from the left-side menu.
2. Select the employee and click on “Attendance Details”.
3. Click on “Attendance Mode”.
4. Click on “Update Attendance Mode” and select “GPS Attendance”.
5. Under “Mark attendance from”, select either “From Office” to restrict attendance to the office location, or “From Anywhere” to allow attendance from any location.

The selected employee’s attendance will now be marked based on your chosen setting.

Setting the Geofence Radius (Web Portal) #

You can also set the radius of the geofence to define how far from the office employees can mark their attendance.

1. Go to “Settings” from the left-side menu.
2. Click on “My Branch”.
3. Click on “Edit” for the branch you want to configure.
4. Set the desired radius for the geofence.
5. Click on “Update” to save the changes.

Setting GPS Attendance Mode for an Employee #

1. Log in to the SalaryBox App using your Admin credentials and tap on the employee name.
2. Tap the Edit option on the top right corner of the screen.
3. Click on “Attendance Details”.
4. Click on “Attendance Mode”.
5. Select “GPS Attendance”.6.    Under “Mark attendance from”, select either “From Office” to restrict attendance to the office location, or “From Anywhere” to allow attendance from any location.

Setting the Geofence Radius (Android App) #

You can also set the radius of the geofence directly from the Android app.

1. Tap on “Settings” from the menu.
2. Tap on “Company Settings”.
3. Under Company Settings, tap on “My Branch”.
4. Select the branch you want to configure.
5. Set the desired radius for the geofence.
6. Tap on “Update Branch” to save the changes.
