Can the admin or employee change the location of a trip or meeting?
Admins can edit trip details, but cannot change the location of a meeting. Employees cannot change the location of a trip or meeting. The app automatically captures the location at the time of the trip or meeting update, ensuring accurate location tracking.
What if my employee forgets to update the trip or meeting?
If an employee fails to update a trip or meeting due to reasons such as a dead phone battery, the admin can manually add the trip or meeting details through the SalaryBox web dashboard. For trips, the admin can edit all details including the location. For meetings, the admin can edit all details except the meeting location, which is automatically captured and cannot be changed. This ensures that records remain complete and up-to-date even if an employee misses an update.
How does SalaryBox ensure the accuracy of trip or meeting locations?
SalaryBox Field Force CRM automatically fetches the GPS location of the employee’s device at the time of starting a trip or meeting. This location is recorded in real-time and cannot be altered by the employee, ensuring precise and tamper-proof location data for all field activities.
Can an employee update a trip or meeting after it has ended?
No, employees cannot change or edit the details of a trip after it has ended. If any trip details need to be updated, the admin can edit them via the web dashboard.
For meetings, employees can edit the meeting details even after it has ended, except for the location. The meeting location is automatically captured and remains fixed.
What happens if an employee’s device is offline during a trip or a meeting update?
If an employee’s device is offline (e.g., due to no internet connection), they will not be able to update or record the trip or meeting, as the app requires an active internet connection to capture live location data. In such cases, the admin can manually make the required changes or update the details via the web dashboard.
