Monitor Employee Live Location

You want to track employees’ real-time location during work hours to ensure they are at the assigned job site. This helps improve workforce visibility and build accountability for field staff. #

1. How to Enable Auto Live Tracking on the Web Portal #

Steps:

1. Log in to the SalaryBox web portal as Admin.
2. Go to Settings > Attendance Settings.
3. Locate the Auto Live Track option.
4. Turn on the toggle to enable tracking.
5. From now on, whenever an employee punches in using the SalaryBox app, a pop-up will notify them that their location is being shared.

Note: If the employee marks attendance via the app, the admin can start tracking without sending a separate permission request.

2. How to Send Tracking Requests from the Web Portal #

Steps:

1. Navigate to the Location tab.
2. Type the employee’s name in the search bar.
3. Select the employee and click Send Tracking Request.
4. The employee will receive a notification asking to grant tracking permission.
5. Ensure the employee’s phone location setting is always ON for accurate tracking.
6. You will be able to track the employee from punch-in to punch-out.

3. How to Enable and Use Live Tracking on the Android App #

A. Enable Auto Live Tracking #

1. Open the SalaryBox Admin App.
2. Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner.
3. Go to Attendance Settings.
4. Enable the toggle for Auto Live Track.

B. Track Staff Live Location #

1. On the homepage, tap the staff member’s name.
2. Go to the Attendance section in their profile.
3. Tap Live Location.
4. The real-time location of the staff will be displayed.
5. To download tracking history, tap the CSV Report option.

4. How to Enable and Use Live Tracking on iOS App #

A. Enable Auto Live Tracking #

1. Open the SalaryBox Admin App on iOS.
2. Tap the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner.
3. Enable the toggle for Auto Live Track.

B. Track Staff Live Location #

1. Tap on the staff member’s name from the homepage.
2. Go to Attendance in their profile.
3. Tap on Live Location.
4. You’ll now be able to view their real-time location.
5. You can also download the report via the CSV report option.
