What is Legacy Pricing? #
If your SalaryBox plan is built around individual modules — such as SB Attendance Lite, SB Attendance Pro, SB Payroll Pro, SB Locate, or SB CRM Lite — you are on legacy pricing.
Legacy pricing is the original SalaryBox subscription model where you choose and pay for each module separately, set your staff count, and renew manually.
Modules available under Legacy Pricing #
Features (Modules):
- SB Attendance Lite — Core attendance tracking (GPS, Selfie, QR, Kiosk modes).
- SB Attendance Pro — Advanced attendance with AI-powered fraud prevention.
- SB Payroll Pro — Full payroll compliance including TDS, PF, and ESI processing.
Add-Ons:
- SB Locate — Staff live location tracking.
- SB CRM Lite — Field force CRM for managing and tracking field staff activities.
Key characteristics of Legacy Pricing Plans #
- Module-based: You pay only for the modules your business needs.
- Manual renewal: Subscriptions must be renewed by the account admin before the expiry date. There is no auto-billing.
- Minimum staff count of 20: All legacy plans require a minimum of 20 staff members.
How to check if you are on a Legacy Pricing Plan? #
Not sure which plan type you are on? Follow these steps to find out:
- Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
- Go to “Subscriptions & Billing” on the bottom-left.
- Click “View Current Plan” or “Check Plan Details”.
- Look at your plan details:
- If you see individual module names (e.g., SB Attendance Lite, SB Attendance Pro, SB Payroll Pro) — you are on a legacy plan.
- If you see “Starter” or “Business” as your plan tier — you are on the new plan.
What happens if you are on a Legacy Pricing Plan? #
If you are on a legacy plan, nothing changes for you. Your current modules, pricing, staff count, and billing structure remain exactly as they are. The new pricing model does not affect active legacy plans.
You can continue to:
- Renew your plan before the expiry date.
- Increase your staff count.
- Add new modules or add-ons to your existing plan.
- Download invoices for all past transactions.
- View and manage your plan from both the web portal and the Android app.
Upgrading your Plan under Legacy Pricing #
You can add staff, modules, or add-ons in your existing plan (under legacy pricing)— without switching to the new pricing structure.
Steps to Upgrade from the Web: #
- Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
- Go to “Subscriptions & Billing” on the bottom-left.
- Click “Upgrade“.
- Select what you want to add — Staff Limit, Features, or Add-Ons:
- Staff Limit: Enter the final staff count you want. Minimum total staff count must be 20.
- Features: Select the module you wish to add (e.g., SB Attendance Lite, SB Attendance Pro, SB Payroll Pro). Click the description to see the full feature list.
- Add-Ons: Select additional services (e.g., SB Locate, SB CRM Lite).
- Click “Okay” and review the payment summary — including Total Amount, GST, and module names.
- Click “Continue to Pay” and fill in your billing details.
- Click “Proceed” and complete the payment using UPI, Card, Net banking, or Wallets.
- Your upgraded plan becomes active immediately.
Steps to Upgrade from the Android App: #
- Go to “Settings” > “Subscriptions & Billing”.
- Tap “Upgrade”.
- Select Staff Limit, Features, or Add-Ons and adjust your requirements.
- Tap “Confirm”, then “Continue to Pay”.
- Fill in your billing details and complete the payment.
- Your upgraded plan becomes active immediately.
Renewing Your plan under Legacy Pricing #
Legacy plans require manual renewal to continue without interruption. During renewal, you can extend your duration, increase staff count, or add modules—all in one transaction.
Steps to Renew from the Web: #
- Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
- Go to “Subscriptions & Billing”.
- Click the “Renew” tab.
- Select Duration, Staff Limit, Features, and Add-Ons as needed:
- Duration: Choose the number of years to extend your plan.
- Staff Limit: Enter the final staff count you want. Minimum total staff count must be 20.
- Features: Select any additional modules.
- Add-Ons: Select any additional services.
- Click “Okay” and review the Total Amount and GST.
- Fill in your billing information accurately.
- Complete the payment. Your plan validity is extended immediately.
Steps to Renew from the Android App: #
- Go to “Settings” > “Subscriptions & Billing”.
- Tap “Renew Plan”.
- Select Duration, Staff Limit, Features, and Add-Ons as needed.
- Tap “Continue to Pay” and complete the payment.
- Your plan validity is extended immediately.
Note: To check your plan expiry date, go to “Subscriptions & Billing” > “View Current Plan”. The “Valid Till” date shows when your current plan expires. Renew before this date to avoid any interruption.
What if you are not able to renew and your plan expires? #
If your legacy plan expires without being renewed, you will lose access to SalaryBox features. However, you are given a 30-day grace period from the expiry date to renew and restore your plan under the same legacy pricing.
During the 30-Day Grace Period
- Your access to SalaryBox is suspended, but your company data — staff records, attendance history, payroll data — is fully retained.
- You can still log in and initiate a renewal to restore access.
- All your existing modules, pricing, and billing structure are preserved.
- Follow the renewal steps above to reactivate your plan.
Important: If you do not renew within the 30-day grace period, your legacy pricing scheme will be permanently closed for your account. After this point, you will need to start a new subscription on the new Starter or Business plan structure.
What happens after the 30-day grace period
- Legacy pricing is no longer available for your account.
- You’ll need to switch to a Starter or Business plan to continue using SalaryBox.
Choosing to move to the New Starter or Business Plan #
Migrating to the new plan is entirely optional for legacy users with an active subscription. However, you may choose to switch if you want:
- Auto-renewal: No need to manually renew before expiry — the subscription renews automatically via e-Mandate.
- Lower minimum user requirement: New plans start from 1 user, compared to the legacy minimum of 20 staff.
- Quarterly billing: New plans offer a Quarterly billing cycle in addition to Annual.
- Bundled features: The Business tier includes all advanced features in one package — no need to add modules individually.
Switching to the new plan is irreversible. Once you move to Starter or Business, you cannot return to legacy pricing. You can review the new plan options at salarybox.in/pricing before deciding. Contact SalaryBox support to discuss your options before making the change.
