Where can I purchase a SalaryBox plan?
Plans can be purchased through the SalaryBox web app (web.salarybox.in) and the Android or IOS mobile app.
How to upgrade plan from starter to business?
You can switch from the Starter plan to the Business plan at any time.
From the Web
1. Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
2. Go to ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘ from the left navigation menu.
3. Click ‘Upgrade Plan‘.
4. On the Upgrade Plan page, find the ‘Plan‘ row and click ‘Change‘ next to your current plan name.
5. A ‘Select Plan‘ popup will appear. Select ‘Business‘ and click ‘Confirm‘.
6. Update the number of users if required.
7. Review the Order Summary. The remaining Starter plan balance will be shown as an adjustment.
8. Click ‘Confirm Changes‘ and complete the payment. The Business plan activates immediately.
From the Android App
1. Log in to the SalaryBox Android application.
2. Go to ‘Settings‘ > ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘.
3. Tap ‘Upgrade Plan‘.
4. Tap ‘Change‘ next to your current plan name.
5. In the ‘Select Plan‘ popup, select ‘Business‘ and tap ‘Confirm‘.
6. Update the number of users if needed and review the Order Summary.
7. Tap ‘Confirm Changes‘ and complete the payment. The new plan is active immediately.
The remaining balance of your Starter plan will be credited and adjusted against the Business plan charge. The Order Summary will show the exact amount due today before you confirm.
How to upgrade from a quarterly plan to an annual plan?
From the Web
1. Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
2. Go to ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘ from the left navigation menu.
3. Click ‘Upgrade Plan‘.
4. On the Upgrade Plan page, locate the ‘Billing Period‘ toggle and click ‘Annual‘.
5. The Order Summary on the right will update to show the annual pricing, with your remaining quarterly balance adjusted accordingly.
6. Click ‘Confirm Changes’ and complete the payment to switch to Annual billing.
From the Android App
1. Log in to the SalaryBox Android application.
2. Go to ‘Settings‘ > ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘.
3. Tap ‘Upgrade Plan‘.
4. Tap ‘Annual‘ in the Billing Period toggle.
5. Review the updated Order Summary and tap ‘Confirm Changes‘.
6. Complete the payment to activate Annual billing.
Once switched to Annual, the plan is billed once a year on your renewal date.
How can I add more staff to my plan?
You can increase your staff count at any time — you do not need to wait for your renewal date. The additional user charge is calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining days in your current billing cycle.
From the Web
1. Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
2. Go to ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘ from the left navigation menu.
3. Click ‘Upgrade Plan‘.
4. In the ‘Users‘ field, update the number to your new total staff count.
5. The Order Summary on the right will update automatically to show the additional charge.
6. Click ‘Confirm Changes‘ and complete the payment. The new staff count becomes active immediately.
From the Android App
1. Log in to the SalaryBox Android application.
2. Go to ‘Settings‘ > ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘.
3. Tap ‘Upgrade Plan‘.
4. Update the number in the ‘Users‘ field to your new total staff count.
5. Review the updated Order Summary and tap ‘Confirm Changes‘.
6. Complete the payment. The new user count is activated immediately.
On Android, if you are setting up a plan for the first time, you can choose from Upto 5, 10, or 15 staff. For teams larger than 15, tap ‘Contact Us’ for a custom plan.
Where can I see the details of my active SalaryBox plan?
You can view all plan information including staff count, validity, and module names from the web portal.
Steps:
- Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
- Go to the ‘Subscriptions & Billing’ section.
- Click ‘Check Plan Details’.
How can I download the invoice for my SalaryBox purchase?
Invoices are available on both the web portal and the Android app.
Steps (Web):
- Log in to the web portal.
- Go to ‘Subscriptions & Billing’.
- Click ‘View Invoices’.
- Review the invoice list — it shows Date, Plan Type, Details, and a Download option for each transaction.
- Click ‘Download’.
Steps (Android):
- Log in to the app using your admin account.
- Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Subscriptions & Billing’.
- Tap ‘View Invoices’.
- Review invoice list.
- Tap ‘Download Invoice’.
Note: If a user makes a purchase through the Play Store(Android) or App Store(IOS), the invoice will be generated on the respective platform from which the purchase was made.
Why was my account charged automatically?
SalaryBox subscriptions are set up with an auto-renewal mandate. This means your account is charged automatically on your renewal date so that your access to SalaryBox is never interrupted.
How can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your SalaryBox subscription at any time from Subscriptions & Billing. Once cancelled, your payment mandate is revoked automatically — no further charges will be made after your current billing period ends.
From the Web
1. Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
2. Go to ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘ from the left navigation menu.
3. Click ‘View Details‘ under ‘Check Plan Details‘.
4. On the Plan Details page, scroll down and click ‘Cancel Subscription‘.
5. A confirmation prompt will appear. Review the details and confirm the cancellation.
6. Your subscription is cancelled and the payment mandate is revoked automatically.
From the Android App
1. Log in to the SalaryBox Android application.
2. Go to ‘Settings‘ > ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘.
3. Tap ‘View Details‘ under ‘Check Plan Details‘.
4. Scroll down and tap ‘Cancel Subscription‘.
5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
6. Your subscription is cancelled and the payment mandate is revoked automatically.
->Your access to SalaryBox remains active until the last day of your current paid period. Cancelling does not delete your company or employee data — you can reactivate your plan at any time.
->If you cancel during the ₹1 trial period, the mandate is revoked and you will not be charged the full quarterly amount on Day 4.
Am I on the Legacy plan? How can I check?
You are on the Legacy plan if you purchased a SalaryBox plan before the new pricing rollout. To verify:
1. Log in to the SalaryBox web portal.
2. Go to ‘Subscriptions & Billing‘ on the bottom-left.
3. Click ‘View Current Plan‘.
4. If your plan shows individual module names (e.g., SB Attendance Lite, SB Attendance Pro, SB Payroll Pro), you are on legacy pricing.
5. If your plan shows Starter or Business as the tier, you are on the new pricing model.
I am on the Legacy plan. Does the new Starter/Business pricing apply to me?
No. If you are on the Legacy plan, your current plan, features, and pricing remain completely unchanged. You do not need to switch to the new model unless you choose to.
Can I switch from my legacy plan to the new Starter or Business plan?
Switching is optional. If you would like to move to the new Starter or Business model, contact SalaryBox support to discuss your options.
