How do I mark attendance after setting up the app?
Marking attendance is the most important action for your workday.
Steps to Mark Attendance (Android and iOS):
1. Selfie Attendance
Punch-In (Start of Shift)
- Open the SalaryBox App.
- On the home screen, you will see the Punch-In button.
- Note: You will also see the ‘Break’ button if your admin has enabled breaks for you.
- Your camera will open → take a clear selfie.
- Once confirmed, your attendance is marked, and you will see a message ‘Punch in marked successfully’.
Punch-Out (End of Shift)
- Open the app again when your shift ends.
- Tap the Punch Out button while taking a selfie.
- Note: You will also see the ‘Break’ button if your admin has enabled breaks for you.
- Once confirmed, you will see a message ‘Punch out marked successfully’.
2. AI Selfie Attendance
Punch-In (Start of Shift)
- Open the SalaryBox App.
- On the home screen, you will see the Selfie Camera and Punch-In button.
- Note: You will also see the ‘Break’ button if your admin has enabled breaks for you.
- Your face will automatically be recognised (as your admin has enrolled your face in his admin app)
- Now, tap on ‘Punch In’
- Once confirmed, your attendance is marked, and you will see a message ‘Punch in marked successfully’.
Punch-Out (End of Shift)
- Open the app again when your shift ends.
- On the home screen, you will see the Selfie Camera and Punch-out button.
- Note: You will also see the ‘Break’ button if your admin has enabled breaks for you.
- Your face will automatically be recognised, and now, tap on ‘Punch Out’
- Once confirmed, you will see a message ‘Punch out marked successfully’.
3. QR Attendance
Punch-In (Start of Shift)
- Open the SalaryBox App.
- You will receive a message: ‘Please scan the QR code to mark attendance.’
- Scan the QR, and you will get the message ‘QR scanned successfully’
- Now tap on ‘Punch In’ to mark the attendance
Punch-Out (End of Shift)
- Reopen the app at the end of your shift.
- You will be getting a message, ‘Please scan the QR code to mark attendance.’
- Scan the QR, and you will get the message ‘QR scanned successfully’
- Now tap on ‘Punch Out’ to mark yourself punched out for the day
4. GPS Attendance
Punch-In (Start of Shift)
- Open the SalaryBox App.
- Allow the location from your mobile device
- Now tap on ‘Punch In’
- Once confirmed, your attendance is marked, and you will see a message, ‘Punch in marked successfully’
Punch-Out (End of Shift)
- Open the app again when your shift ends.
- Tap the Punch Out button while taking a selfie
- Allow location capture
- Once confirmed, you will see a message ‘Punch out marked successfully’.
How do I view my attendance details on Android or iOS?
You can check your complete monthly attendance summary anytime using the View Attendance option. This helps you keep track of your daily work records and ensure everything is updated correctly.
What can you see in View Attendance?
When you open your attendance calendar, you will be able to see:
- Present days
- Absent days
- Half-days
- Paid leaves
- Unpaid leaves
- Week-offs
- Punch-in and Punch-out records
- Shift
Steps to View Attendance (Android & iOS)
- Open the SalaryBox App.
- Tap the My Profile icon at the bottom-right corner.
- Select View Attendance.
- If you cannot see your attendance records, please contact your admin to enable this feature for you.
- Your attendance calendar for the current month will open automatically.
- Tap on any date to see the detailed punch-in/punch-out history for that day.
- Use the month selector at the top to check previous months.
How to Apply Breaks?
Note: You must Punch In before you can start a break.
Starting a Break:
- Open the app again during your work shift (once the Punch in is done).
- You will see two options on the screen: Punch Out and Start Break.
- Tap Start Break.
- Tap Confirm to begin your break.
Ending a Break:
After your break is over:
- Reopen the app.
- Tap End Break.
- Tap Confirm to end the break.
Important: Ending the break is mandatory to ensure your attendance is recorded correctly.
